Feasts of the Gods:
Celebrating Ancient Festivals in Modern Times

This
book-in-progress is shaping up to be a huge one. In my exhaustive
research
I have discovered a Pagan festival for almost every day of the year.
Many
days have more than one festival. Each month also has lunar festivals,
and holidays of uncertain or changeable date. There is a lot for us to
celebrate, including days when specific deities are traditionally
honored.
Simply
listing
or even listing and explaining festivals is not enough, I feel, so I am
also including suggestions for how each one could be celebrated now. I
like to make my books as useful as possible. Gods and Goddesses from
many
different cultures are mentioned, so I also plan to include a Glossary
of Deities at the end of the book.
I have been
researching this topic for many years. Longtime visitors of this web
site
will recall that holidays for some of the months have previously been
posted
here, but in a more rudimentary form than they will appear in Feasts
of the Gods. I hadn't planned to write this book, but have gathered
so much information on the topic that it seems I must write it. I
will post extracts from the book here as soon as time and health
permit.
