This is an excerpt from a recent email I sent
to my sister, Kathy.Ý This happened in Pennsylvania, about 30 years ago.Ý
Today, I believe it was a fairy encounter.
Ý Paula wrote:Ý I've been meaning to ask
about this.Ý I'm doing some reading up on this subject. I remember when
we were young and living at the house in whichÝMom and DadÝnow live.Ý During
the night you went to the bathroom, came back and told me you saw "a little
green man" sitting on the sindorwill (you always transposed letters in
words, which was so cute) in the bathroom.Ý You told me years later that
you stillÝbelieved you had seenÝthis.Ý I remember he said something to
you, but can't remember what.Ý Do you?Ý What else do you remember about
this?
Ý Kathy wrote: I don't have a very good long term

and all over the window.Ý
Ý Paula wrote:Ý Hmmm, I'm sure your memory
on this would be better than mine.Ý I thought you said there was one little
green man sitting on the window, with his legs hanging over the edge of
the windowsill (the second time you went in).Ý I remember he said something,
but can't remember what.Ý I remember you weren't afraid, but I was when
you told me!Ý I went to look, but there was nothing there when I went in.Ý
I remember you insisted you saw thisÝyears later.
Ý Kathy wrote:Ý I don't remember being afraid,

these years?
Ý Paula wrote:Ý I was reading an article
about such things, and it brought it to mind.
Ý Kathy wrote:Ý I really don't remember the details.
I do remember I used to see things. I sometimes, every now and then, Ýthink
I see flashes of things. ÝI do a double take, there's nothing there. It's
usually a flash of a face in my review mirror, or maybe someone outside
the windows. Sometimes when I'm in a house by myself, cleaning--the blur
of a figure.

The first faerie I saw came
when I was watching tv in the family room, my feet resting up on the coffee
table in front of the couch. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a plump,
male faerie with a green, floral-looking outfit fly slowly right over my
feet. When I looked directly at him, he disappeared. I was
SO excited though! After that, I would always see these little bright,
white sparks fly across the room, or little black specks. The second,
more human-looking faerie
that I saw was a thinner, older woman, with grey hair and a purple
outfit, who seemed as though she was royalty, like a queen. I can't
remember where I saw her, but it was really cool! I just felt so
special, knowing that they were kind enough, and appreciative enough of
me to actually allow me to see them! And here's the best encounter:
I'm not quite sure if this was actaully a faerie,
a brownie, a gnome, or whatever, but I was walking to the front door of
my neighbors' house along their stone pathway with a very small garden
next to it, which was lined right against the house. This happened
very quickly: I heard a rustling, and felt something kind of jump
out, and tag me right above my akle. It felt SO weird! Like
a tiny person! I immediately thought, "Gnome!!" Then my "rational"
side thought, well, maybe it was just a frog. But it couldn't have
been. It felt sooooo strange, and why would a frog just leap out,
tag me, and run away? I also looked all over the small, not-very-well-hidden
garden directly after this happened, and did not see a single thing.
It just couldn't have been anything else. I strongly believe that
this was a member of the faerie realm, reaching out to say hi and show
me his acceptance. >^..^< Thank you faeries!

Dear Eileen, A story I have never told anyone except my husband-
"When I was 17 years old, 2 girls and I
went to a nearby country park for an art lesson, where we had to paint
a landscape of a river. On the third day, a hot August day, 2 of us noticed
something passing our line of view, dangling from what seemed to be a spiders
thread. Thinking it must be a spider we both jumped up out of its way,
then we took a closer look and saw what it was. We watched it pass us and
disappear into a tree then looked at each other and screamed. Our other
friend asked us what we had seen and before my friend spoke I said 'don't
say a word, just sit a distance away from me and draw what you saw'
In disbelief we showed the other girl our drawings
which were the same. From the spider-like thread dangled a very small white
egg, the size of a fingernail and the front quarter was cut away and inside
we could see a small man with a purple bobble hat on, dangling over one
ear and he held a sort of joystick as if he were controlling the egg with
it. He saw us and panicked, trying to manoeuvre away from us. I think because
we had been sitting so still, painting, he hadn't noticed us before. If
my friend hadn't seen it too I would have passed it off as a hallucination.
Thankyou for your site, it has brought back a
very strange memory for me." Regards, Mrs. P. Hill, South Wales, U.K.

My story:
It was around 1974. My older sister and
I were home by ourselves. I think my mom, dad, younger brother and
younger sister were, as usual, at a baseball game. My sister and
I were baking toll house cookies in the kitchen. We had a kitchen
counter that we used to sit on barstools at, and we were standing on the
opposite side in the kitchen placing the dough on a cookie sheet.
We were leaned up against the counter and we could look out the glass patio
door to our back yard. Some movement in the backyard got our attention.
This is going to sound totally lame. I saw something come flying
over the neighbor's fence to our left. It floated up over the fence,
across our yard, and over the fence to our neighbors on the right.
I don't know how long that we kinda stood there in shock or a trance.
I remember I literally shook my head and looked at my sister. I said,
Did you just see.........then she said, a little man on a motorcycle......then
I said, float across our back yard?!!! We both started laughing and
couldn't believe it. I can't explain what it was. It, no joke,
resembled a little leprechan (no he wasn't dressed in green) like man on
a minature motorcycle floating across our backyard. We ran outside to peek
over the fence and couldn't find a thing.
My good friend's story:
My friend Susan swears that when she was little,
she was upstairs in her bedroom playing. She heard something tapping
on the window and saw a little man there. She called him Jiminie
Cricket. In fact that's what he said his name was. She let him in
and they talked and played awhile. Then he left out the window and
climbed down the ivy to the ground. He came back a few times and they played
and then he never showed up again. I asked her if he looked like the character
Jiminie Cricket and she said no, she couldn't really describe him to me,
but he was a little tiny looking man. She told me this story when
we were adults after I shared my little
leprechan tale. Both of us were really kinda embarrased to
share our tales. Who would believe us?
My Mother-in-Laws story:
When she was about 15 and living in what was
then Palestine she was cleaning the house. She flipped over a couch
cushion to clean it and swears she saw three little people. She screamed,
dropped the cushion and ran out of the room. Her Mom and Dad came
running to see what the problem was and she told them what happened.
Of course they thought she was crazy. Especially when she flipped
over the cushion again and nothing was there. She is 75 years old now and
still swears this is true. - Jayne

Truthfully I didn't believe in fairies a year
ago. That is until, for some strange reason, I started recalling things
I had done at the age of six and five. I never had thought of them and
it seemed strange that I would all of a sudden remember.I remembered an
imaginary friend I had, which is also strange since I never even knew I
had one. Well this imaginary friend happened to be a ,fairy. I would call
him Michael. He wore a head band, and would imitate different people he
has seen or so he would say he has seen. This sounds sounds unreal but I
know what I would saw. well, i didn't know then.At the age of six, i didn't
even know what a fairy was by the way, since I went to a christian school
and they didn't allow us to talk of such "things" , which is completely
ridiculous. Soon I started to forget about the existence of Michael, or
at least i think I did, since I don't recall seeing him again after awhile. It
was a year ago I started remembering my "imaginary friend". More slowly
at first, I would just see small flashes from back then.At other times
I thought I would hear a whisper. I would just ignore it. But then around
halloween, a little before it I think, the memory of Michael , just ...sort
of popped into my head.It was as if someone had flicked on an old rusty
light bulb in my head.Still assuming it was something i made up as a kid
i thought not much of it. On halloween night I thought I heard playful
giggling next to my little garden. But it sounded so sweet and innocent,
childlike. Halloween passed , and around Samhain I saw something so beutiful.I
was sitting down at a youth center because a friend of mine wanted to show
me a construction thing (fairy unrelated). Suddenly she stopped talking
and her eyes grew bigger. She pointed behind me and I turned around.I saw
a bluish, dusty, glittering figure. It was very transparent and hard to
see.It looked as if it was made out of gas.It was hovering. I blinked ,
it was still there. I could hardly tell it was a fairy. From what I saw
there were two of them. The're feet were more like that of a frog, they did
have wings, though they were slender. They hovered away, but I followed. They
went behind a wall so I couldn't see them for a second. Then when I got
to the wall I couldn't find them.I know I didn't imagine it, my friend
saw it too.Suddently a feeling of understand came over me,it was Michael. He
just came back to me to remind me of him.And of course to say hi.I cannot
see him now, and I hav'nt seen any fairy since. But Samhain, isn't too far
away. *~* Emil

"Anyone can see plant devas - just look at, but
focus past the plant - they have different auras and colors - look at a
new blade of wild grass growing in spring after a rain - the same way as
described above - look at clumps of grass, bushes, & trees - what do
you see?
I would also like to tell you about a fairy encounter: In
1995 we purchased nine acres of land - rolling hills, arroyos, wild grass,
bushes, trees - before we built anything - one day near our well, I caught
a glimpse of a little green man who jumped into / behind a large
clump of grass - that's it!" - Ken

"For christmas I received a great book about fairies. I have
always had some belief in fairies and I've always clapped for Tinker Bell.
I got to thinking that if i truly believed in fairies why didn't I believe
I'd ever see them. Well, as soon as I got my mind set to see fairies if
they were there to see, I looked down and in a shadow on the floor a little
guy waved at me! I had seen fairies in my mind's eye but that was the first
one I saw with my real eyes... it was pretty cool."
*
"It was one day after I
done a spell, I woke up in the morning, I first went to the bathroom and
went back to my room. My shades were closed so I decided to open them up,
outside there are a bunch of plants. I was looking outside and I saw a
plant moving. I just thought it was the wind and I looked closer and saw
a faerie moving the leaf. I think it was male and he had old clothes on
and he had small wings that were transparent and light shined off of it.
He stopped moving the leaf and sat on a leaf and his wings were fluttering
rapidly. It just brought an automatic smile to my face making me feel happy
just by looking at it. I think he was smiling back at me. He didn't move
for awhile until after i left. I haven't seen him since but i hope to."

"it may not sound like the most
absurd story, or detailed, but i swear it is true. Last summer, i was walking
home from an Ice cream shop by my house. At the corner of the Street
there is a Movie theater, and my friend and i were walking behind
it. Just earlier that day, i was telling her all about fairies.
We have 2 Large willow trees in my backyard, and i am still convinced they
are fairy trees, but you can only see them for a second and only out of
the corner of your eye.
But the best view
i ever got of one was when we were walking back to my house. She
stopped, pointed at a tree, and told me to look. I did sure enough, about
10 feet (maybe a little more, 12?) in front of us, was a male fairy.
He was beautiful. He had the body of a literally tiny man, probably
the size of a dragonfly. His wings were not like butterfly or insect
wings, i can't really describe them... sorta like teeny tiny angel wings,
only different.
I expected him to
fly away as soon as he saw me, but he didn't. He just sort of hovered
there, looking right at us, even as i approached him, he just looked at
us. But my friend convinced me to go around the side of a shed so
we didn't scare him, and when we got around he was gone. Thank you
fairy, for letting me see you. I hope to see another like him someday.
My tips for those of you still
searching is to always believe, pay attention to what's in the corner of
your eye, never look in the intention of Money or harm, and keep there
locations secret so you don't lose their trust...."
