Hello, my name is Solevhi. I started believing in faeries when I first starting to notice them about a year or so ago. I was walking around a creek by my house and laid down to star-gaze. After awhile I started to feel like someone was watching me, so I sat up and looked around. Just then a small, bright white light flew across my face and around the trees that were around me. I got scared so I left to go back home. The next day I returned to the creek to see if the glowing light was still there. And sure enough, it was. Ever since that day I have thanked the Goddess for her blessing, and have seen faeries around my home and where ever I go.  ~Solevhi~

Merry Meet! My name is Tana Faye-Ree.  Before I became a Witch, about the age of 15 is when I can remember my first glimpse of a Faery.  I was lying in bed, it was so early in the morning that the Sun had not risen yet, and I saw a couple of bright green flickers at my window.  I looked around my room to see if maybe the green was just a reflection of my alarm clock or maybe the smoke detector...then I realized it could not possibly be either, because the window blinds were closed.  I kept  looking for the bright green flicker again, because I wanted to find out what it was.  I saw the green flicker once more...and now that I think of it, I am sure it was a Faery.  Outside my window, there was a small mass of huge, overgrown trees and ivy, and it resembled a miniature forest...a PERFECT place for Faeries, right?  And then recently, other encounters I have had were also light flickers, but one was a magenta  colour and flickered only one time, and the other was a bright and bold red which flickered quite a few times.  And the funny thing is, when I first saw the green Faery flicker, that was when I had bought my first book on Witchcraft.  When I have seen the magenta and red Faery lights, it was because I was excited about writing my first book (to be published, about my path of the Craft; I day the magenta Faery light) and when I had completed my book (the red Faery light).  My guess is that Faeries like to come and see what someone is excited about...?
Thanks for letting me share my experiences! Blessed Be! ---Tana Faye-Ree

"I am 16 years old, and I live in Beaverton Oregon. About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I was sitting at my kitchen table with 3 of my friends, and it was about 8:00 at night. My chair faces my backyard, and as I sat there staring outside, a glowing purple/pink ball of light flew past the window to the left of me at an incredibly fast speed. I said, "Oh my god, look at that!" to my friends, but they didn't see it. The
same light went by about 2 more times at different parts in my backyard, but always very close to the window.
No matter how quickly I pointed it out to my friends, I was the only one to see her. (I felt the whole time that it was a girl) My friends just thought I was trying to mess with them, but I know what I saw, and since then I've left little offereings to the fairies in my backyard, hoping to see one again."

"I don't know if any one has heard of a place called seven hills? But it is a really neat place to get in tune with nature. My boyfriend and I were riding down the hills to get to the wooded area where you can park your vehicle and walk through the woods. When we got there, there was a big bright light. It was white, and glowing with such beauty that I stared at it for a couple of moments. It then dissapeared in to the woods. We tried to find it but we couldn't. Then as we were leaving we heard a little giggle. You know the kind that's like you are dumb for not noticing. Well anyways we didn't think anything of it so we left and started heading down the road. When we pulled onto the road with all those hills we saw the ball of white light in the middle of the road. By the time I shouted to my boyfriend to watch out it was to late. I saw it fly under the truck and never come out. So I made him stop and check it out. When we looked under the truck there was that little ball of white light sitting there giggling. I said thank the goddess that it was okay. And even since then I feel little pinches and my hair being played with. And until a couple of days ago I thought it was my imagination. Then I had said something to my best friend Becky who is into witchcraft like me, and she said that it was when a fairy was around you that they do that. So know everytime I feel these things I know that I have been blessed by a fairy." Brightest Blessings, sacredlionness

"Today is June 23.  Midsummer Night's Eve.  It has been exactly 2 years-to the day-that I have believed in faeries.  Even though I live in the Midwest (America) my Mom always partook in old English and Irish traditions.  My Mom and step-dad were already at the pond.  Our pond is down a really long lane. My sister and I had come home from Vacation Bible School and had to walk to the pond at 10:00 at night.  I am very scared of the dark.  And my sister, even though she's older, is not very brave.  We were clinging to each other's arms tightly.  I remember looking out over the prairie and seeing all the lightning bugs.  They lit up the sky.  It was beautiful.  I didn't feel so scared then.
We got to the pond.  The lightning bugs swooped over the pond and the prairie.  We swam.  It must have been 11:00 then.  And I had always had a little belief in faeries.  I felt like I was swimming with them.  We were going back home.  I was riding in the wagon on the back of the lawnmower. I was watching the fireflies and I saw to parallel lights swoosh in a circle.  I believe that was a faery.  And I was watching the edge of the prairie, since there is a trail cut straight through it, and I swear on everything that means anything to me that I saw a gnome dash from the prairie and quickly disappear.
Once I looked into the faeries, gnomes, elves, pixies, and all that other stuff, I see that where the pond is is perfect living conditions for pixies and gnomes!  Ever since that day I have believed!"

"It was late at night and I was sitting on the edge of our bed, waiting for my partner who was in the bathroom. Only the lamp was on (which isn't bright) so the light in the room was very dim and my mind was suprisingly blank.
All of a sudden (but at the same time everything moved slowly) I saw flickers of different coloured bright light - greens, blues, golds and yellows that I can remember. I was intrigued and confused more than frightened. The lights were small, like the size of a 10c piece maybe (it's hard to remember exactly). I expected them to disappear as soon as I concentrated / focused on one, because I asumed I was simply overtired. They did not disapear though, and as I focued on one I saw little wings fluttering so fast I couldn't see them clearly, and arms and legs as well. The movement these little creatures made was so rapid I couldn't get a clear picture but I do know they were the colour of the light they perpetuated all over. I didn't believe my eyes at all. I watched as the little bundles of colour moved - it lasted maybe 20 seconds (but felt longer).
After they disappeared I though over what I had seen feeling shocked and uplifted at the same time. My only explanation is I saw fairies. Now when I see little light flashes across someones shoulder or through the air (and not from a camera flash of bright light exposure) I think 'fairies'."

"Hi! My name is April. I saw where you had a page that had nothing but faerie encounters with other people. I would like to share my encounter. Well I guess it was a faerie. It's been a long, time ago probably about 7 yrs now. We (my mom, dad, and our neighbor carroll) stayed up late watching the meteor shower.  They went to bed close to 10:00, but my mom and I couldn't sleep. So we decided to wash clothes.  (we lived in a camper, because our house wasn't built yet, so our washer and dryer was in our tool shed) My mom was coming back from the tool shed when our little dog, Precious started barking at our back pastuer gate. Mom turned around and I looked out the window and we both saw this big ball of  white light that was approx. 20 feet from the gate. Our big mistake was that we both ran and woke my dad up but it disappeared before he could see it. We went in the truck to see what it/who was. Mom thought it was a four-wheeler or a big flashlight or a meteor. But it couldn't have been because we would have seen the the person driving the atv in the pasture and we didn't see tracks or any signs of a meteor the next day.  Call it what you will, believe me or not BUT I KNOW IT WAS SOMETHING AND MY MOM AND I COULDN'T HAVE DREAMT IT BECAUSE PRECIOUS SAW IT TOO! I say it was a faerie, but then no one listens to me."

"I have believed in fairies all my life. They're in my blood, in my heart, in my soul even. I'd always been teased about my beliefs, but, even after all the teasing and name calling, I just knew I would see a fairy one day. And even to this day,I've never told anyone this. I had to be about twelve years old,and my family and I were staying at my grandparents' house because of a hurricane that was heading straight for us. I was so scared. I tried to keep myself busy by writing my famous nonsense stories for my little cousins to keep them from being as scared as I was. I remember that I was sitting awake while they took a nap. And as I sat there wondering what was going to happen to us, I happened to glance out of our bedroom window. Now I can't say that it was definitely a fairy that I saw, because all I saw was a floating green ball of light, but it moved as if it had a mind of it's own.It floated past the window but turned around and came back. It stoped in front of the window just long enough for my already excited mind to think it was looking in at my cousins and me.My heart was pounding and I couldn't breath. And the only thing I could think of was, " It's a fairy! It's really a fairy!"It was about the size of a tennis ball or a soft ball, and it hung there for a split second, then it turned, floated a few feet away from the window, and just vanished.I wanted to run to my mom and tell her everything that I had seen, but I knew they would just tell me that I had been dreaming or that it was some kind of ball lightning, so I never said a word. Even now, at twenty one years old, I still look for that ball of light, or another like it, from my grandmother's bedroom window. And every time I tell myself that next time, I'll talk to it and see if it talks back."

"When I was 9, I went to a camp called Camp Okeneechee. It was supposed to be where the story, "A Bridge To Terribithia" took place. There were little trails of fairy tables and chairs and things. On the last night, I saw something sparkle from the crack of the cabin door. I fell asleep, and in the morning, there was a sparkly powder by the beds and the cabin door. Everyone thought it was the counselors, and when I told my friend about the light outside the door, she said it was probably just a flashlight. The only thing is... flashlights don't sparkle."
