FAIRY MUSIC

"Hi, my name's Alissa. I don't know if this was
a faerie, but I can tell you now that none of this is made up. Everything
is absolutely true. Last night, around 9:30, I went into our kitchen to
get something to eat. I was just about to open the cupboard when I disticntly
heard bells. They were high pitched and very pretty, but didn't last very
long, maybe 3 or 4 seconds. I stopped, and turned around. There was nobody
there, but it felt like there was. All of a sudden, there was a flash of
gold. I didn't see an actual faerie form, but there was a flash. I've never
practiced wicca, and I'm a normal 13 year old girl. I don't know exactly
what it was but I'm prepared to say that I believe in faeries."

"Just this summer I had gone on a trip with my
enitre family to Scotland. The family was staying in a small mansion split
into four massive town houses. This quaint settlement was 3 miles from
the nearest town. One day we took a drive to that small town and took a
walk. We were walking on this path and I was particulary angry with my
direct family (my Father and my Brother) as I walked along the desserted
dirt path I heard some soft music, incredibly beautiful and sweet. The
Family was far behind me in deep discussion.
I stopped to listen and the music stopped and
a sweet smelling breeze gusted around me. I started waling and the music
started again. I was a little startled and started to walk backwards. All
the way the same sweet tune played. I reached my family and it stoped.
I don't know what happened then but it changed my life. "

"There I was me and my
best friend Alan, we were out side camping in the woods. My dog was with
us, Kit. We went to sleep in the tent. Later on that night around midnight,
I noticed Kit was gone. I got and headed out of the tent and deeper and
deeper into the woods hoping to find him. Then I heard the most beautiful
music in my life. Something I'd know I would never hear again. I spied
from behind a bush and come to find out there was these small men and women.
About 2 in. tall I'd say. They had the wings of a butterfly. All of a sudden
something grabbed me by the shoulder, I turned and seen Alan. I told him
to look and when he did he too became dumbfounded. About ten minutes later
we heard barking. And it was coming closer and closer next thing I knew
there was Kit trashing the Fairies Party. They all instantly vanished.
We went back to the tent and went to sleep. The next morning, Alan told
me about the fairy encounter, except he said it was a dream he had. I didn't
say anything, for I knew what I saw." ---Michael

"This happened when I was younger while I was
staying at summer camp. The camp is a 200 acre all girls camp in the Blue
Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It's also the oldest girls summer camp in
Virginia, started in 1923. After staying there for over two weeks I had
an odd experience..it was late at night after lights out and I was laying
on my bunk when i began to hear singing in the wind. It was the sound of
a woman whispering into my ears- she repeated the same thing over and over-
three words- in an Irish Accent, tir nan oh,Ý tir nan oh, tir nan oh-----
tiiiirr naaaaanÝ oooooh- it wasn't anyone outside and everyone in my cabin
was quiet- i got really scared and I yelled hello to see if anyone was
awake and my friend said she had been getting scared too- our councilor
was gone also. my friend definitely wouldn't have been making that noise.
well awhile later, like maybe a year, I got a fairy book and was flipping
through the pages when I saw some phrase that seemed similar. After looking
on the website I saw About Fairies- and then "Fairyland, also called Elfland
or Tir Nan Og, is an enchanted place where fairies live in an organized
community. It may be thought of as an alternate or parallel universe, a
place where time stands still and there is no sickness or death." it was
pronounced "teer nan oh". Is this the actually pronunciation? after thinking
about it I kind of thought- wow- maybe fairies do exist! it's a strange
thought. I'd never heard these words before but when I heard it I had the
impression it had come from a goddess or spirit. it was chilling!" - gabrielle

"Hi my name is Fyresong and I beleive in all
things that tend to defy explaination, many things is just from the way
I percieve things. My belief in elves and gnomes and dwarfs are all
based on human characterisation, look about you open your eyes and see
the wonders of human features. I have known many people that hold
the physical structure of people of myth, why can they not be the descendants
of these wonderfull people. Many say I have the heart and imagination
of a child although I am 28, and i take that as a true compliment.
As we grow older we lose the joy of what we were as children.
My belief in fairies again could be explained
rationally but I refuse to do so. I remember one day walking home from
my friends, with my 2 dogs along a raliway that had been turned into a
foot path, and i could hear quiet laughter and a sound like the tinkling
of tiny bells, but yet every time I located the direction and turned to
see where the sound came from, it ceased. To this day I believe it was
fairies.
Many times I have seen something flash or move
in my periphal sight (I think that is the proper words for looking out
from the side of your eyes) but when I turn to look at what I saw there
was nothing. These to me are the things of myth, that cannot be seen but
are, the idea of looking at a fish through water, and when you reach down
to touch the fish it is not where you see it. Well as I said I am forever

"This one day I was walking through the woods(and kissing a girl)
when I heard these weird words"Enaca Woo". And all of a sudden I looked
behind us and there was trees. Our path was gone! Then we heard these sweet
hums like water on rocks.Then we turned back forward. There was a beautiful17
year old girl all in green in front of us.Then all of a sudden she turned
into a green ball and flew away.We finally found our way back to my house.I
did some research and found out it was a Wood Fairy." - Alex

"When I was about 6 years old I was in my grandmother's
kitchen and I saw this fairy that was yellow and had a crown of daisies
upon her head, thus I called her Daisy. She was only about 1 foot tall
and I remember her sitting on my shoulder.
I didn't know that she was a fairy untill about a year
ago when I did some reasearch on the fairies and since then I have seen
three other sitings of fairies. the other was when I was silent sitting
I saw the figure of a blue fairy and another time my freind and I had been
climing trees and we herd a high pitched giggling nosie and we shouted
for the "giggler" to come out and every time we yelled it just giggled
even more! I do not think this was a fairy , however, I think i must have
