Copies of slightly different versions of the Rede have been handed from witch to witch for many years. I always thought Doreen Valiente wrote it, but I was wrong about that.
According to an old article by Lady Gwen Thompson in Green Egg,
her grandmother Adriana Porter wrote 'The Rede of the Wiccae'.  I don't know what year it was written in, but Adriana Porter was over 90 when she died in the 1940's.

Bide the Wiccan Laws ye must
